Nanchang Normal University, as a full-time provincial public undergraduate normal university, is located in the capital of Jiangxi province-Nanchang, a city rich in historical and cultural background and well-known for its reputation for heroic endeavour. Nanchang Normal University originated in 1952 as Jiangxi School of Advanced Studies for Teachers which was renamed Nanchang Teachers’ College in 1956. In 1958, the College expanded into Jiangxi Institute of Education, as one of the earliest eight undergraduate universities in Jiangxi Province. In April 2013, China’s Ministry of Education approved that Jiangxi Institute of Education was restructured as a general undergraduate university and renamed Nanchang Normal University. Now the University has become a provincial comprehensive reform pilot for Three-Quan Talent Cultivation.
